About Me:

What a dream come true that I get to work with animals every day. Starting out my career journey as a hairstylist at a top 50 Paul Mitchell hair salon in the U.S. I had a whole path of "success" laid out in front of me, but something was missing...I felt empty. A constant in my life has always been helping animals, so I went to the drawing boards to see how I could make a career out of it. Combining my passion for the welfare of animals, and the artistic talent, to become, a pet stylist.

 

I apprenticed under a master pet stylist for 3 years, while continuing my education with webinars. I am an AKC S.A.F.E. certified groomer, as well as Pet CPR & First Aid certified, always holding the safety of the pet in the highest regard.  With Velvet Paw, I wanted to create a space focused on quality over quantity, where the pet can feel as stress-free as possible.

In my free time, you can find me with my dog, Nikki, a pitbull mix, exploring nature and going on adventures, or at home with her, and my two rescue cats, Edward and Simon, watching movies, doing art, or playing guitar.
